David Cicilline, would <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/20\/jerry-nadler-gun-bill-common-use\/\">ban<\/a> semi-automatic weapons that contain a magazine, a pistol or forward grip and a \u201cfolding, telescoping, or detachable stock.\u201d Two-hundred and fifteen Democrats and two Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mkraju\/status\/1553147566417743872\">supported<\/a> the legislation, while 208 out of 213 \u201cno\u201d votes came from Republicans. The bill is not expected to pass the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese military style weapons were designed for the battlefield, with maximum efficiency for when a soldier is engaged in combat. The military features banned by this bill are added to make these guns more accurate, more controllable, more concealable, and more deadly,\u201d Cicilline said in a floor speech urging colleagues to support the regulation.<\/p>\n<p>House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerrold Nadler of New York touted the bill during a committee markup as banning weapons that are in \u201ccommon use\u201d across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem is that they\u2019re in common use,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/20\/jerry-nadler-gun-bill-common-use\/\">said<\/a> during an exchange with Republican North Carolina Rep.
