Wade as a major loss for women\u2019s rights were also less likely to plan on voting in the midterms than those who didn\u2019t, according to the poll, which<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/22123229-2022-07-24-abortion-trend-for-release\"><span>surveyed<\/span><\/a><span> 1,026 Americans from July 22 to 24. This presents a challenge for Democrats, who are hoping abortion will be a winning issue for them going into midterms,<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/07\/29\/abortion-roe-midterms-poll\/\"><span>according<\/span><\/a><span> to The Washington Post.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>While 66% of respondents who think abortion should be illegal expect to vote in midterms, only 55% of those who think it should be legal plan to vote in November, according to the poll. Of those who viewed the end of Roe as a major loss for women\u2019s rights, 52% plan to vote in November; 70% of those who don\u2019t view it as a major loss plan to vote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/28\/dem-spending-bill-shell-80-billion-supersize-irs\/\"><span>Democrats<\/span><\/a><span>, who are facing a significant<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/28\/abortion-midterms-democratic-republican-voters-sabato\/\"><span>disadvantage<\/span><\/a><span> in the upcoming midterm elections, are <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dscc\/status\/1551568002293850112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">focusing<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheDemocrats\/status\/1552821236136382464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">abortion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheDemocrats\/status\/1549154551378640896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rights<\/a> in light of the Supreme Court<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\"><span>overturning<\/span><\/a><span> Roe v. Wade and allowing states to impose<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/29\/abortion-misinformation-life-mother-charlotte-lozier-institute\/\"><span>abortion<\/span><\/a><span> restrictions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn past midterm elections, social issues have motivated voters both on the right and the left to turn out. When the economy is bad, political parties have used social issues like abortion to motivate their base,\u201d\u00a0Professor Christian Grose, academic director of the\u00a0USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy, <a href=\"https:\/\/priceschool.usc.edu\/news\/usc-faculty-discuss-roe-v-wade-impact-on-mid-term-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cHowever, this time the issue of abortion very well may help Democrats.
