Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan (R) suggested the FBI exaggerated domestic terrorism statistics to hit performance metrics manufactured by the bureau itself.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Jordan wrote a letter to the agency\u2019s director sharing alleged whistleblower accounts. He said through these accounts he found that FBI officials are \u201cpressuring agents to reclassify cases as domestic violent extremism\u201d even if the cases do not meet the criteria. Jordan went on to say one whistleblower has called it an environment of \u201cpressure\u201d as superiors use these metrics to give awards and promotions.<\/p>\n<p>They contend the manipulation is done to satisfy the Biden administration\u2019s narrative that domestic violent extremism is America\u2019s \u201cgreatest threat.\u201d One of the implicated operatives is Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault who was also among those previously accused of covering up Hunter Biden\u2019s money trail.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BREAKING?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BREAKING<\/a> \ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n<p>Whistleblowers: FBI Leadership Pressuring Agents to Artificially Pad Domestic Terrorism Data <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fGuQbUbjX3\">pic.twitter.com\/fGuQbUbjX3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Judiciary GOP (@JudiciaryGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1552378066495741958?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 27, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On Monday, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) accused the FBI of a widespread effort to discredit any unfavorable, but legitimate information about the president\u2019s son leading up to the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cThis guy by the name of Thibault,\u201d Grassley said. \u201cAll you got to do is go back to a lot of his social media stuff and then very partisan comments. He was the one making these decisions to shut down or open an investigation. This allegation came when a whistleblower told Grassley there has been a pattern of active partisanship at the bureau on matters about investigations of the Trump campaign and Hunter\u2019s suspicious financial deals.<\/p>\n<p>To seemingly counter GOP\u2019s investigative efforts, Grassley said that in August 2020 he and Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) were subjected to a \u201cunnecessary\u201d briefing from the FBI which they said had been \u201cweaponized\u201d against sitting members of the senate.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cI want to know what concrete steps Wray\u2019s is going to take to shut down this partisan approach,\u201d Grassley shared.\u00a0 \u201cThis is hurting the credibility of the FBI.
