They are why we&#8217;ll continue to fight for accountability and change! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/e1dZcdcSqq\">pic.twitter.com\/e1dZcdcSqq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ben Crump (@AttorneyCrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AttorneyCrump\/status\/1551236766111113218?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe were shocked and dismayed that these costume character actors besmirched the great name of the Sesame Street brand, an institution that\u2019s as American as baseball and apple pie and who has for years battled for inclusively and equity for all people,\u201d attorney Malcolm Ruff said.<\/p>\n<p>Sesame Place Philadelphia initially responded by releasing a statement insisting that \u201cthe costumes our performers wear sometimes make it difficult to see at lower levels and sometimes our performers miss hug requests from guests,\u201d adding that\u00a0the employee dressed as Rosita, \u201cdid not intentionally ignore the girls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur brand, our park and our employees stand for inclusivity and equality in all forms,\u201d the statement added. \u201cThat is what Sesame Place is about and we do not tolerate any behaviors in our parks that are contrary to that commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>But following a wave of\u00a0criticism over the viral video and the initial statement,\u00a0Sesame Place Philadelphia reportedly released a follow-up statement saying that the incident was \u201cnot okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe sincerely apologize to the family for their experience,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe know that it\u2019s not okay.
