But does this shift reflect the experiences of those who are disinclined to \u201cshout\u201d their abortions?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s\u00a0an accusation lurking in the subtext of the abortion debate over abortion regret, implying that no woman should feel bad \u201cterminating a pregnancy\u201d if it was never suggested that abortion itself is bad. How paternalistic. First, \u201cBig Abortion\u201d sells women short by suggesting they will never be able to handle both a career and a family, and then they sell them an abortion. And now, abortion zealots make themselves the masters of how women must feel about it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pro-life movement at large has consistently perceived two victims in an abortion scenario \u2014 a child whose life is on the line, and a mother who is vulnerable to\u00a0an industry that profits from violence and deceit. This is further evidenced by the fact that a disproportionate number of\u00a0abortion\u00a0\u201fresearchers\u201d are funded by pro-abortion entities.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If, for example, the \u201ceveryone loves abortion\u201d research comes from the Bixby Center\u00a0at the University of California\u00a0(as\u00a0it\u00a0often does),\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0highly relevant that the Center is funded and organized to find in favor of abortion.\u00a0The Bixby Center\u00a0trains abortionists through its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ryanprogram.org%2F&#038;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C430708f6488f4d4adc8e08da6f1d77d4%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637944469608427452%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=%2BwjaEY%2BsKQn8NmdUO81qBBvDn5UOViBP5XVWdHeke5E%3D&#038;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ryan Residency Training Program<\/a>\u00a0and is funded by population control-loving Warren Buffett, along with Planned Parenthood and their Guttmacher Institute and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fgynuity.org%2F&#038;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C430708f6488f4d4adc8e08da6f1d77d4%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637944469608427452%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=60cM9E79A4sFBSeWvefCJTyY%2Fl%2F0J9sM%2B1GwFW70HKY%3D&#038;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gynuity Health Projects<\/a>, which profits from chemical abortion sales and so on.\u00a0The Bixby Center is as unbiased on abortion as The Tobacco Institute\u00a0is on cigarettes.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Even worse than the clear and present bias in abortion data is the audacity of those blaming pro-lifers for abortion regret to cite The\u00a0Turnaway\u00a0Study, which is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov%2Fpmc%2Farticles%2FPMC6161227%2F&#038;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C430708f6488f4d4adc8e08da6f1d77d4%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637944469608427452%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=PLTO%2B%2FMVl7QhvGgqY07YK7IygPbX84DFjMGCUmC29ec%3D&#038;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">famously so flawed<\/a>\u00a0that a Planned Parenthood exec could drive their Lamborghini through the holes in its reasoning.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ansirh.org%2Fresearch%2Fongoing%2Fturnaway-study&#038;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C430708f6488f4d4adc8e08da6f1d77d4%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637944469608427452%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=2kP%2B3DuJn6sps95WjaTNXd9eG37s6nQVmsC%2BSDPcw4Q%3D&#038;reserved=0\">The study<\/a>\u00a0was published in 2015 by the abortion group ANSIRH and, in simplest terms, is an attempt to dismiss the trauma and long-standing pain many women feel following an abortion. Additionally, the results were only presented at an academic conference. This data has not appeared in an academic journal nor gone through the peer-review process. Finally, the study \u2014 and the full results \u2014 do not appear to be publicly available. Thus, despite shamefully poor research practices and an utter failure to prove the claim it set out to, that women\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0regret abortion,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0still propped up \u201cWeekend at Bernie\u2019s\u201d style by abortion proponents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, these women were denied abortions not because of legal restrictions, but because many facilities do not carry out late-term abortions.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s\u00a0fascinating that a movement once sold as \u201cpro-choice\u201d refuses to allow women the freedom to feel loss after receiving an abortion.\u00a0Every parent who made an abortion decision, from the main streets of pro-life communities to the pro-abortion hills of Hollywood, deserves the freedom to be honest about their experience.
