The legislation, if passed, includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murray.senate.gov\/sen-murray-introduces-historic-funding-bill-eliminates-hyde-amendment-and-includes-first-of-its-kind-federal-abortion-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">provisions<\/a> that funnel money to companies that profit off of ending life in the womb and fund abortions for women by paying for travel, lodging, and \u201cother barriers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republicans, specifically, are <a href=\"https:\/\/rollcall.com\/2022\/07\/28\/senate-democrats-make-their-move-on-fiscal-2023-appropriations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concerned<\/a> that the legislation will \u201crepeal \u2026 the Trump-era policy that blocked foreign assistance to organizations that \u2018promote or perform abortions,\u2019\u201d create an abortion czar who promotes dangerous chemical abortions, and embolden healthcare providers to ignore their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/22\/no-one-is-coming-for-contraception-but-theyre-definitely-coming-for-conscience-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">employees\u2019 conscience rights<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed bill also openly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murray.senate.gov\/sen-murray-introduces-historic-funding-bill-eliminates-hyde-amendment-and-includes-first-of-its-kind-federal-abortion-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wages a war on the Hyde Amendment<\/a>, a provision that has protected Americans from funding most abortions for decades and was at one point <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/07\/31\/kamala-harris-calls-joe-biden-flip-flopping-hyde-amendment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supported by President Joe Biden<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Those kinds of measures, however, were never mainstream in the U.S. or even the Democrat party and they certainly aren\u2019t now. Recent polling suggests that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/05\/poll-the-republican-position-on-abortion-is-most-favorable-to-the-average-american\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">72 percent<\/a>\u00a0of American voters support abortion restrictions at least as strict as the Mississippi law featured in the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> Supreme Court case. Approximately 60 percent of Democrats feel the same. Only 10 percent of those polled supported abortion up to the moment of birth. <\/p>\n<p>Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/abortion-opinion-poll-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">polls that corporate media outlets skewed<\/a> to make it look like Americans support Democrats\u2019 abortion agenda suggest that Americans largely believe abortion on demand up until birth is too radical. In general, more Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/support-for-15-week-abortion-ban-outweighs-opposition-wsj-poll-finds-11648821601\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support than oppose<\/a> 15-week abortion bans. Some polls have found that a majority of U.S. adults oppose abortions after 15 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, instead of focusing on what voters really want now that <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> is overturned, dozens of Democrat legislators\u00a0are seeking to expand taxpayer-funded abortions by any means possible. This includes Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Mazie Hirono\u2019s efforts to solidify no-questions-asked abortions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meetthepressblog\/senate-dems-push-va-expand-access-abortion-care-female-veterans-rcna40397\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">through the Department of Veteran Affairs<\/a> where federal law currently prohibits ending life in the womb. <\/p>\n<p>While Americans struggle to pay their gas, electricity, and food bills during historic inflation and a Democrat-induced recession, blue politicians are busy <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/pro-abortion-democrats-hold-five-hearings-in-one-week-to-push-radical-agenda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hosting pro-abortion hearings<\/a> and passing legislation that is celebrated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/about-us\/newsroom\/press-releases\/house-passes-right-to-contraception-bill-critical-step-in-protecting-essential-right\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by the largest abortion company in the United States<\/a>: Planned Parenthood. <\/p>\n<p>As Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/28\/democrats-abortion-views-are-far-too-radical-to-benefit-from-the-post-roe-political-reality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a> shortly after the <em>Dobbs<\/em> decision, Democrats\u2019 abortion radicalism may not be the winning point they think it will be in the upcoming midterms. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt a time Democrats desperately need to seem normal, they are saddled with one of the least defensible policy positions in American life: that ending human life in the womb should be legal for any reason up until the moment the baby is being born,\u201d Hemingway wrote. <\/p>\n<p>Pro-life groups such as Susan B.
