Wade did not make a \u201chuge impact\u201d on the House generic ballot polling, <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforpolitics.org\/crystalball\/articles\/23709\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia Center for Politics.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">There are 10 House ratings changes from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kkondik?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@kkondik<\/a> at Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball. We continue to see the Republicans as very strongly favored to win the majority with seats to spare, as they only need to win 5 more seats than they won in 2020 (213) in order to flip the House,\u201d the pollster stated.<\/p>\n<p>The pollster warned that anything less than Republicans gaining 20 seats in the House could leave the party \u2018vulnerable\u2019 come the 2024 elections.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a midterm environment such as this one, the opposition party has the clear advantage in terms of \u2018nationalizing\u2019 races, running on national themes like dissatisfaction with President Biden (whose approval rating is languishing in the 30s) and issues such as inflation and gas prices,\u201d according to Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/27\/another-american-dream-clings-life-under-bidens-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Another American Dream Clings To Life Under Biden\u2019s Watch)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/26\/zakaria-lemon-cnn-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fail<\/a> to make abortion a national theme for voters, Republicans could have a \u201cstrong showing\u201d and pick up as many as 30 seats in the U.S. House, according to the pollster.<\/p>\n<p>The assessment showed that nine out of the 10 U.S. House rating changes made in Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball went positive for the Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball moved two U.S. House seats in Colorado further away from Democrats, flipping the 8th district from a \u201ctoss-up\u201d district to \u201cleans Republican,\u201d and the 7th district from \u201clikely Democratic\u201d to \u201cleans Democratic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three Florida U.S. House seats (the 4th, 7th, and 28th districts) and Wisconsin\u2019s 1st district were changed from \u201clikely\u201d to \u201csafe Republican,\u201d according to Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball.<\/p>\n<p>The pollsters also changed North Carolina\u2019s 13th district from a \u201ctoss-up\u201d district to \u201cleans Republican,\u201d and Indiana\u2019s 1st district from \u201cleans Democratic\u201d to \u201ctoss-up.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udea8Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball changed <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IN01?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IN01<\/a> from \u201cleans Democratic\u201d to a \u201ctoss up.\u201d\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats have been losing ground in these kinds of districts in recent years, so we\u2019re calling it a Toss-up now.\u201d \u2013 Kyle Kondik, managing editor of Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hB8CvaX7QU\">https:\/\/t.co\/hB8CvaX7QU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jennifer-Ruth Green (@JenRuthGreen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JenRuthGreen\/status\/1552748917569323009?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 28, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Democrats did gain in Georgia\u2019s2nd district, with the pollsters upgrading the district from a \u201cleans Democratic\u201d to a \u201clikely Democratic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, these changes push the Republicans ever so close to the magic number of 218.
