The former president is expected to announce whether he will run for president in 2024 by the end of the year, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/07\/14\/trump-says-hes-made-up-his-mind-about-running-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video claims to show an hour-long speech Trump made this week. \u201cLIVE \u2013 President Donald Trump in Newport News, VA #Virginia Trump \u2013 July 27, 2022,\u201d reads the video\u2019s caption. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/07\/18\/fact-check-trump-rally-refund-north-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Is Donald Trump Not Refunding Tickets For His Postponed Greensboro, North Carolina Rally?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the video is genuine, it does not show a speech the former president gave this week. An internet search reveals the footage stems from a speech Trump gave in Newport News, Virginia in September 2020. The same footage can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?476122-1\/president-trump-rally-newport-news-virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">C-Span<\/a> and the verified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wJ4YohQspow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a> account of 13News Now, both of which date the speech to Sept. 25, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>During the speech, Trump discussed the upcoming 2020 presidential election and at one point announced he had extended the moratorium on off-shore drilling in Virginia and North Carolina, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pilotonline.com\/government\/elections\/vp-nw-trump-rally-newport-news-20200926-2tfchpld2bgnti3woj5aqqhlne-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Virginia-Pilot<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rev.com\/blog\/transcripts\/donald-trump-newport-news-virginia-campaign-rally-transcript-september-25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transcript<\/a> of the speech.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>This is not the first time social media users have circulated old Trump speeches and claimed they were recent.
