At the urging of his sister, Roske called police and told them he planned to kill Kavanaugh and himself, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>Federal officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/police-id-armed-man-who-said-he-wanted-to-kill-supreme-court-justice-kavanaugh-report\">charged<\/a> Roske with attempting to murder a Supreme Court justice hours after taking him into custody. Roske has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/armed-man-found-near-kavanaugh-home-pleads-not-guilty-to-attempted-murder\">pleaded<\/a> not guilty to the charge.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI has requested warrants to Google accounts and online chat logs that they believe belong to the suspected attempted assassin, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/07\/27\/politics\/kavanaugh-roske-arrest-warrant\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>. The FBI\u2019s application included messages Roske sent online, as well as some of his search history.<\/p>\n<p>When communicating with someone over the online platform Discord in May, Roske said he was \u201cgonna stop roe v wade from being overturned\u201d and intended to \u201cremove some people from the supreme court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo dead judges ain\u2019t gonna do nothing,\u201d responded the user engaging with Roske. \u201cYou would die before you killed them all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Y]eah but I could get at least one,\u201d Roske replied, \u201cwhich would change the votes for decades to come, and I am shooting for 3.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FBI warrant application also said that Roske searched the internet for the \u201cmost effective place to stab someone\u201d and the \u201cquietest semi auto rifle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The alleged attempt on Kavanaugh\u2019s life came after the unprecedented leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion in <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em>. The draft, written by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, suggested at the time that the 1973 decision in <em>Roe v. Wade,<\/em> which established a constitutional right to an abortion, would be overturned. The eventual opinion in <em>Dobbs<\/em> did, in fact, overturn <em>Roe<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The release of the draft sparked a series of protests against Supreme Court justices, both at the court and at their homes, after their addresses were published online. The leaked draft also kicked off new calls by progressive lawmakers to take radical action, such as stacking the Supreme Court to keep federal protections on abortion access.<\/p>\n<p>Roske traveled to Kavanaugh\u2019s house in early June but backed off his alleged plan to kill the justice after speaking with his sister, authorities say. Roske\u2019s sister convinced him to abandon his plans, causing Roske to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-sister-of-the-would-be-kavanaugh-assassin-might-have-saved-the-justices-life\">call<\/a> 911 and reveal his intentions roughly a half hour after arriving at Kavanaugh\u2019s house, according to authorities. He told officers he was upset at the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning <em>Roe v.
