He believes in bigger government, higher taxes, more spending, more debt, more regulation, open borders, a weaker military, and turning cops into social workers. And those policies have hurt the American people deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Kennedy said that in no respect has the Biden administration hurt the American people more than in their pocketbooks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m talking about inflation,\u201d he said. \u201cInflation, which is a direct result of the president\u2019s policies, is a cancer on the American Dream, and it is rampant. It is unrestrained.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inflation has climbed steadily since Biden took office, reaching\u00a09.1 percent in June and leaving Americans feeling the squeeze when it comes to purchasing everyday essentials and filling up their gas tanks.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/american-motorists-changing-driving-lifestyle-habits-to-offset-soaring-gas-prices-survey_4624848.html\">recent survey<\/a> by AAA found that nearly two-thirds of Americans polled said they have\u00a0changed their driving habits or lifestyle since March 2022 in an effort to offset soaring gas prices.<\/p>\n<p> Straightforward Solution <\/p>\n<p>At a July 22 rally in Arizona, former President\u00a0Donald Trump also took aim at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/trump-blasts-biden-over-soaring-prices-says-true-inflation-rate-is-much-much-higher-than-9-1-percent_4619824.html?utm_source=ai&#038;utm_medium=search\">Biden\u2019s handling of rising inflation<\/a>,\u00a0telling rally-goers that the true rate of\u00a0inflation\u00a0is far higher than the official rate.<\/p>\n<p>During his interview with Watters,\u00a0Kennedy said he believes the solution to rampant inflation is \u201cso straightforward\u201d before calling on the\u00a0Federal Reserve to stop spending and instead remain within the federal budget.<\/p>\n<p>He also suggested reducing the deficit and freezing all\u00a0proposed federal regulations, which he said are \u201cjust going to add<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
