Worse, there is no question that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/01\/kamala-harris-is-the-case-against-affirmative-action\/\">Joe Biden\u2019s successor<\/a> could not possibly do the job.<\/p>\n<p>Kamala Harris is a joke, but it\u2019s not funny. She waddles around <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/15\/kamala-harris-quotes-as-motivational-posters-because-the-time-to-be-inspired-is-every-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">giving nonsensical speeches <\/a>and interviews (<em>Together, we must do the work that has always been done and will continue to be done if we work together on the work that\u2019s ahead for us and for always<\/em>). her staff is either complaining to the press or resigning en masse. And she hasn\u2019t managed to do a single thing that would lead anyone to believe she\u2019s ready at a moment\u2019s notice to be sworn in as president of the United States. If the thought doesn\u2019t fill you with panic, check your pulse.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential biographer Jeffrey Frank did his damnedest in a New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/25\/opinion\/kamala-harris-joe-biden.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">column<\/a> this week making the very, <em>very<\/em> dubious case that Harris can get prepped for the job if only she could get some help. He said she \u201chasn\u2019t been given the sort of immersive experiences or sustained, high-profile tasks that would deepen and broaden her expertise in ways Americans could see and appreciate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recall that within his first two years in office, Biden brought out the bells and whistles to trumpet that he was giving the responsibility of the southern border and national voting legislation to Harris.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI asked Kamala to be the last voice in the room.\u201d \u2014 Biden, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/joe-biden-kamala-harris-speeches-08-12-20\/h_ea64a6479c54fbb19ebd16fd8b276900\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aug. 12, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vice president\u2019s gonna be the last person in the room. She didn\u2019t realize that means she gets every assignment.\u201d \u2014 Biden, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2021\/03\/24\/biden_i_told_kamala_harris_shed_be_the_last_person_in_the_room_that_means_she_gets_every_assignment.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">March 21, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dana Bash: \u201cAfghanistan \u2014 were you the last person in the room?\u201d Harris: \u201cYes.\u201d \u2014 CNN, <a href=\"https:\/\/ar-ar.facebook.com\/cnnpolitics\/videos\/vice-president-harris-says-she-was-the-last-person-in-the-room-with-president-bi\/279956343606334\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>That the border remains a horrifying mess, that Democrats never passed new voter legislation, and that the Afghanistan withdrawal resulted in an international embarrassment, plus 13 dead American service members, is not because any of those tasks are insufficiently \u201cimmersive\u201d or \u201chigh-profile.\u201d It\u2019s because Harris, along with everyone else in this administration, is incompetent and unqualified.<\/p>\n<p>There isn\u2019t a single area where she has succeeded.
