His last day is Friday.<\/p>\n<p>LaRosa, a former MSNBC producer, joined Joe Biden\u2019s campaign in 2019 as Jill Biden\u2019s spokesman before he was named press secretary to the first lady in January of last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am forever grateful to her for taking a chance on me nearly three years ago, bringing me on this journey with her around the country, and the privilege of being a small part of the history,\u201d he added to the paper.<\/p>\n<p>Reports say LaRosa is planning to join\u00a0Hamilton Place Strategies, a Washington-based public affairs company. It\u2019s not clear who will be named to replace him as the first lady\u2019s spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor nearly three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has brought an encyclopedic knowledge of politics and media to my team as my spokesperson and adviser,\u201d Jill Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/07\/26\/politics\/michael-larosa-leaving-the-white-house\/index.html?utm_medium=social&#038;utm_term=link&#038;utm_content=2022-07-26T10%3A47%3A49&#038;utm_source=twCNN\">told<\/a> CNN. \u201cOn a small team, loyalty and friendship are lifelong\u2014we will miss Michael. However, we are excited for him to begin a new chapter in his career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Other Departures <\/p>\n<p>In recent months, the White House has seen a number of top communications officials leave.
