(Photo by Mark Makela\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 1:20 PM PT \u2013 Sunday, February 21, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>White House spokesperson Jen Psaki attempted to defend Joe Biden\u2019s lack of support for Texas during the recent winter storm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was closely watching the news, talking to his team, and he is eager to go down to Texas and show his support,\u201d Psaki stated. \u201cBut he\u2019s also very mindful of the fact he doesn\u2019t want to take away resources or attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In previous disasters, President Trump would immediately head to areas in need to lead the rescue and recovery efforts by his personal example, but Psaki appeared to admit Biden\u2019s presence on the ground would not be helpful.<\/p>\n<p>She also attempted to defend Biden\u2019s failure to distribute COVID-19 vaccines left to him by President Trump.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2375790\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2375790\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2375790\" src=\"https:\/\/dzm0ugdauank9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/AP21048668737775-655x437.jpg\" alt=\"White House press secretary Jen Psaki speaks during a press briefing, Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, in Washington.
