Similar policies are in place in numerous other districts, including<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/equality-not-elitism\/loudoun-schools-told-teachers-to-keep-gender-transitions-secret-from-parents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loudoun County Public Schools<\/a><br \/>\n in Virginia and<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/wisconsin-district-has-policy-for-secret-student-gender-transitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eau Claire School District<\/a><br \/>\n in Wisconsin.\n<\/p>\n<p>Such policies have also led to several lawsuits in<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/california-middle-school-forced-daughter-into-transgender-identity-mother-alleges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California<\/a><br \/>\n and<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/community-family\/florida-parents-sue-after-school-clandestinely-orchestrated-daughters-gender-transition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a><br \/>\n.\n<\/p>\n<p>The district&#8217;s policy, first<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/22\/maryland-school-guidelines-right-keep-gender-private\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a><br \/>\n by the <i>Daily Caller<\/i>, was highlighted by the parent activist organization Parents Defending Education. Erika Sanzi, the organization&#8217;s director of outreach, said that the policy was compounding a situation in which parents were already feeling &#8220;unsettled and betrayed.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><br \/>\n<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Parents already feel unsettled and betrayed that the school district is committed to withholding information and deliberately deceiving them,&#8221; Sanzi said. &#8220;The added policy to instruct staff to contact the student welfare and compliance office if parents aren&#8217;t on board with their child&#8217;s gender transition is another egregious slap in the face to parents.
