In Virginia, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/campus\/virginia-school-district-prohibits-teachers-from-contacting-parents-when-students-change-gender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fairfax County Public Schools<\/a> prohibited teachers from consulting parents when students as young as kindergarten-age switch genders at school in July. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/equality-not-elitism\/loudoun-schools-told-teachers-to-keep-gender-transitions-secret-from-parents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loudoun County Public Schools<\/a> in the state issued similar guidelines in April. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/california-middle-school-forced-daughter-into-transgender-identity-mother-alleges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California mother<\/a> sued her daughter\u2019s school district in January after two teachers allegedly coerced her child into adopting a transgender identity without informing her.<\/p>\n<p>The guidelines say school principals and staff should &#8220;ascertain the level of support the student either receives or anticipates receiving from home,&#8221; helping the student create a gender-identity plan &#8220;even when the family is nonsupportive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harold Maldonado, the father of a rising fourth grader at MCPS, told the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> he is &#8220;angry&#8221; and &#8220;disgusted&#8221; that Montgomery County is pushing &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; sex education on students.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Montgomery County Public School System is overreaching, and this borders the line of criminal,&#8221; Maldonado said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maryland\u2019s largest school district is prohibiting faculty from disclosing information about children&#8217;s chosen gender identity from their parents.
