There is no evidence Sky News published such an article.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.K. recently experienced a significant heat wave, sending temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) for the first time in history, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-62217282\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC News<\/a>. The unprecedented heat sparked a series of wildfires around London forcing some residents to evacuate, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>An image shared on Facebook appears to show a screenshot of a Sky News article about the heatwave. \u201cUK Heatwave: Vaccines could be the way to battle the climate crises!\u201d reads the article\u2019s headline. The story goes on to quote an unnamed \u201cnational agent\u201d as saying, \u201cBeating climate change can only be done once we all get our vaccines\u201d and warns of a new COVID-19 variant known as the \u201cCenturion strain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The article is digitally fabricated. The alleged report cannot be found on the Sky News <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> and is also absent from the outlet\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=heatwave%20vaccines%20(from%3ASkyNews)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/skynews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064840144175\/search\/?q=heatwave%20vaccines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts<\/a>. All known variants are listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/activities\/tracking-SARS-CoV-2-variants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a fabricated Sky News report has gone viral.
