His rhinorrhea, cough and body aches have diminished considerably.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Connor said that while the president\u2019s voice remains &#8220;a bit deep,&#8221; Biden\u2019s pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature all remain normal, and he has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no shortness of breath<\/a>. O&#8217;Connor said Saturday that the president likely became infected with a\u00a0highly contagious variant, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/health\/infectious-disease\/coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">known as BA.5<\/a>, that is spreading throughout the country, and Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House COVID-19 response coordinator, said Sunday, &#8220;It is the BA.5 variant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/apps-products?pid=AppArticleLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That variant is\u00a0an offshoot of the omicron strain\u00a0that emerged late last year.
