The tweet appears to stem from a parody account.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nintendo is a Japanese video game company responsible for producing gaming systems such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nintendo Switch<\/a>. An image shared on Facebook claims the company recently sent a strange tweet about cats.<\/p>\n<p>The image shows what appears to be a tweet from the verified Nintendo of America Twitter account that reads, \u201cMeow, meow, meow! Nothing feels better than inside of a cat.\u201d Despite the tweet allegedly being deleted, according to text included in the image, an image of it has since gone viral on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yosupjt\/status\/1547993090878631936\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence the company sent such a tweet. It could not be found on any of the company\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=(from%3ANintendo%20OR%20from%3ANintendoAmerica)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter accounts<\/a> or on <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220722132311\/https:\/\/twitter.com\/NintendoAmerica\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archived versions<\/a> of the verified Nintendo for America account. There are likewise no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=nintendo+america+twitter+cats&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjYhvfloIj5AhW1hYkEHSLxBo4Q_AUoA3oECAEQBQ&#038;biw=1440&#038;bih=821&#038;dpr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible news reports<\/a> to corroborate the authenticity of the alleged tweet.<\/p>\n<p>An internet search reveals the same tweet was shared by the account <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NintendoUpd8s\/status\/1360417211043639299\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@NintendoUpd8s<\/a>, a Nintendo parody account, in February 2021.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Meow meow meow!
