Cupp said during a panel discussion on CNN\u2019s \u201cNew Day.\u201d \u201cDonald Trump has been charged with nothing. One legal watchdog has said that there are at least 48 potential crimes committed by Donald Trump over the course of his presidency or while he was campaigning.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/08\/cnn-host-sputters-as-former-ag-dumps-on-jan-6\/\">(RELATED: CNN Host Sputters As Former AG Dumps On Jan. 6 Show)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cupp\u2019s comments came before a primetime hearing of the Jan. 6 Select Committee was to be held Thursday evening. Legal analysts have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/10\/cnn-honig-onesided-january6-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criticized<\/a> the panel for being \u201cone-sided\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/17\/cnn-toobin-goldman-trump-capitol-riot\/\">noted<\/a> that charging Trump is likely to be difficult.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not a legal analyst, nor a scholar of the law, I\u2019m a normal person and I think if you are a normal person with, you know, some reason you think, well, Donald Trump has been above the law, it\u2019s been 18 months since the insurrection,\u201d Cupp said.<\/p>\n<p>Most House Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/21\/nancy-pelosi-rejects-two-republicans-january-6-select-committee-jim-jordan-jim-banks-capitol-riot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">boycotted<\/a> the committee after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to allow Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana to serve on the panel. The only Republican members of the panel, outspoken Trump critics Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, were <a href=\"https:\/\/january6th.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">appointed<\/a> by Pelosi.<\/p>\n<p>Some liberals and Trump critics have called for the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/04\/biden-firing-merrick-garland-rubin-joaquin-castro\/\">replacement<\/a> of Garland over what they view as a failure to aggressively pursue Trump multiple times in recent months. A May 25 memo issued by Garland that stated written approval from the attorney general was required for investigations involving presidential campaigns <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/19\/garland-memo-barr-maddow\/\">prompted<\/a> new calls for Garland to be fired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an attack on all Trump voters and really, it\u2019s a partisan attempt by Nancy Pelosi for her hand-picked members of Congress to go after President Trump and all Republicans because they know that they are going to lose at the ballot box this November,\u201d Republican Rep.
