A spokesperson for Global News denied that the outlet had published such a story.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Last week Canada authorized Moderna\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine for children as young as 6 months, making it the first COVID-19 vaccine available for children under the age of 5 in the country, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/americas\/canada-approves-modernas-covid-vaccine-children-aged-6-months-older-2022-07-14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An image shared on Facebook claims Canadian children are now being segregated based on their vaccine status. It shows what appears to be a screenshot of an alleged July 18 Global News article with a headline that reads, \u201cAfter public outrage, Tim Hortons will allow unvaccinated children to attend summer camps, segregated from other campers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tim Hortons operates a number of summer camps throughout Canada and the U.S. for children and teenagers, according to the company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/timscamps.com\/what-we-do\/our-camps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>. The company\u00a0was criticized by some earlier this year for its decision to require COVID-19 vaccinations for all of its summer campers, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/boycott-tim-hortons-vaccine-mandate-camps-195025231.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yahoo News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The post shared on Facebook is digitally fabricated, however. No such article appears on the Global News <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/?s=after+public+outrage%2C+Tim+Hortons+will+allow+unvaccinated+children+to+attend+summer+camps%2C+segregated+from+other+campers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> or on the outlet\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GlobalNews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/globalnews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> accounts.
