The \u201cLivin\u2019 La Vida Loca\u201d singer has vehemently denied the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court,\u201d said a joint statement from Martin\u2019s attorneys Joaqu\u00edn Monserrate-Matienzo, Carmelo D\u00e1vila, and Harry Massanet Pastrana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter,\u201d the attorney said. \u201cThe request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them,\u201d Martin\u2019s legal team asserted. \u201cWe are glad that our client saw justice done and can now move forward with his life and his career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The unnamed 21-year-old claimed he had an affair with his uncle earlier this year, and when it ended, Martin stalked him on \u201cat least three\u201d occasions, the Los Angeles Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/music\/story\/2022-07-21\/ricky-martin-nephew-incest-harassment-restraining-order-withdraw\">reported<\/a>. The accuser said he \u201cfeared for his safety\u201d and a Puerto Rican judge issued a temporary restraining order against the singer earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>In both English and Spanish, Martin defended himself online before his nephew withdrew the claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterize me,\u201d he said via social media in early July. \u201cBecause it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time.
