Wade June 24 in its\u00a0decision in Dobbs v. Jackson\u00a0Women\u2019s Health Organization, a Conference Board survey found.<\/p>\n<p>Only 8% of U.S. companies have made public statements about the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to overturn Roe, and another 2% plan to make a statement, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conference-board.org\/topics\/corporate-social-impact-practices\/US-corporate-response-to-Supreme-Court-decisions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to<\/a>\u00a0the survey. Most companies in the survey had made public statements about social issues since 2020, with 61% addressing racial equality, 44% addressing LGBT issues, 40% addressing COVID-19 and vaccines and 30% addressing gender equality.<\/p>\n<p>The companies were more likely to have addressed the court\u2019s Dobbs decision internally, the survey found, with 51% addressing or planning to address their employees about the issue. Of those companies, 42% recommunicated existing healthcare policies, 15% planned to add additional benefits and 30% planned to offer travel benefits for employees going out of state for abortions. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/20\/white-house-emergency-declaration-chemical-abortion-pills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: White House Considers Declaring National Emergency Over Abortion Pills: REPORT)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dozens of companies have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/27\/corporations-abortion-expenses-travel-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">offered<\/a> to pay for their employees\u2019 abortion-related travel expenses in response to state abortion restrictions, including Disney, Apple, Meta (the parent company of Facebook) and Nike. Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson argued that children were a financial burden to companies, who prefer that their employees remain childless.<\/p>\n<p data-inc=\"1\">\u201cNow they\u2019re telling you that you cannot have the one thing that most people want more than anything else; the one thing that biological instinct drives all of us to want, and that\u2019s children,\u201d Carlson <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/29\/tucker-carlson-corporations-telling-people-cant-have-children-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>. \u201cThe most reliable source of meaning and joy in human existence, a family, is now out of reach for the American middle class, and you should accept that is inevitable.
