The company previously stated that the only digital currency it accepts is Dogecoin.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A judge ordered an October start date for a trial between Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk after the billionaire announced he was terminating his $44 billion acquisition deal of the company, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/07\/19\/tech\/twitter-elon-musk-lawsuit-first-hearing\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a>. The billionaire claimed the social media company would not provide information regarding bot and spam accounts, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/digital\/news\/elon-musk-terminates-twitter-deal-1235312263\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Variety<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>A video shared on Facebook now claims Musk is pivoting to digital currency. It shows a photo of Musk and the Tesla logo along with various financial figures. \u201cTesla has invented a new electronic currency,\u201d reads the post\u2019s caption. \u201cTesla launches its newest invest platform. From today you can buy the new official Tesla e-money.\u201d The post appears to suggest that a \u00a3200 investment in the currency could grow to be worth \u00a37,740 in four weeks.<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence to suggest that Tesla has created a new electronic currency. No such announcement appears on Tesla\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tesla.com\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blog website<\/a> or on Musk\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter account<\/a>. There are likewise no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=tesla+electronic+currency&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwj2trHL7of5AhVhpIkEHV5jAU8Q_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1440&#038;bih=821&#038;dpr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible news reports<\/a> suggesting the company is planning to or has instituted a new virtual currency for customers. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/05\/13\/fact-check-china-cryptocurrency-forbes-article\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Forbes Publish This Article About China\u2019s New Cryptocurrency?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tesla stated in January 2022 that it would begin to accept the cryptocurrency Dogecoin as payment, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2022\/jan\/14\/dogecoin-value-soars-after-elon-musk-says-it-will-be-accepted-for-tesla-goods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Guardian<\/a>. Currently, Tesla\u2019s website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tesla.com\/support\/dogecoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">states<\/a>, \u201cTesla only accepts Dogecoin.
