KQED is a public media outlet with NPR-affiliated radio and PBS-affiliated television. KQED <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kqed.org\/about\/who-funds-kqed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">receives funds<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpb.org\/aboutcpb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Corporation for Public Broadcasting<\/a>, which \u201cis the steward of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpb.org\/appropriation\/history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">federal government\u2019s investment<\/a> in public broadcasting and the largest single source of funding for public radio, television, and related online and mobile services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Federalist reached out to the author of the KQED article, but received an out-of-office message.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Olivia Hajicek is an intern at The Federalist and a junior at Hillsdale College studying history and journalism.
