On Tuesday, the prosecution accused the former White House aide of believing he is above the law.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Steve Bannon arrives in court with a smile as his show trial begins today in the imperial capitol <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1tdDJtButs\">pic.twitter.com\/1tdDJtButs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jack Posobiec \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 (@JackPosobiec) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JackPosobiec\/status\/1549022994156093443?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Bannon\u2019s defense argued he did not outright ignore the subpoena because his legal team was in negotiations with the committee. His attorney claimed the subpoena was politically motivated, while his client decried the panel as a kangaroo court.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cAnd for them to sit there and try to get a complete hearing, and they won\u2019t bring in any testimony, any testimony about FBI involvement, any testimony about DHS involvement, any testimony about any other involvement,\u201d Bannon stated. \u201cAnd what\u2019s driving this, the total and complete illegitimacy of Joe Biden. Trump won.
