This is up 10% from November 2021, when the data was last tracked, according to the poll.<\/p>\n<p>As the midterms loom, Americans told CNN pollsters that they don\u2019t believe the country, where elected <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/14\/joe-manchin-takes-blowtorch-to-dems-plans-more-spending\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democrats<\/a> hold the highest offices, is heading in a safe direction.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Biden admin will take credit for everything except inflation<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PlRQ8YkESz\">https:\/\/t.co\/PlRQ8YkESz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyCaller\/status\/1546932478463688704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 12, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey found that 75% of Americans believe the rising cost of living, including gas, energy and food prices, is the biggest economic crisis facing U.S. families. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/13\/inflation-americans-cpi-squeeze-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Inflation Hits Yet Another Record High As Americans Feel The Squeeze)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The data showed that 79% of Americans said the U.S. is doing \u201cpretty or very badly,\u201d and 34% said it is doing \u201cvery badly.\u201d Only one percent of U.S. adults believe the country is doing \u201cvery well,\u201d and only 21% think it\u2019s doing \u201cvery or fairly well,\u201d according to the poll.<\/p>\n<p>Comparatively, in June 2019, the poll showed that 18% of U.S. adults felt the country was doing \u201cvery well,\u201d and 57% said the U.S. was doing \u201cvery or fairly well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When respondents were asked how the country is fairing economically, only one percent of U.S. adults said it is doing \u201cvery good,\u201d and 18% said it was doing \u201cgood,\u201d the data showed. Over 80% of Americans told the poll the economic conditions in the U.S. were \u201cpoor,\u201d and 41% said they were \u201cvery poor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In May 2019, the poll reported that almost 30% of U.S. adults said the economy was \u201cvery good,\u201d and 70% said the U.S. had a good economy.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. inflation <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/13\/inflation-americans-cpi-squeeze-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">climbed<\/a> 9.1% over the past 12 months since Biden told Americans on July 19, 2021, that the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/14\/inflation-even-worse-retailers-consumers-new-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rising costs<\/a> facing Americans would be temporary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome folks have raised worries that this could be a sign of persistent inflation,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/07\/19\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-economy-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> Biden in 2021. \u201cBut that\u2019s not our view. Our experts believe and the data shows that most of the price increases we\u2019ve seen are \u2014 were expected and expected to be temporary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll surveyed 1,459 U.S. adults from June 13- July 13 with a margin of error of +\/-3.3%.
