And while her predictions may turn out to be accurate, what was going on in the periphery of her interview stole the show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just when you think the barking dogs are the weirdest part of this CNBC hit \u2026 you see what walks through the 0:35 second mark. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gR2C5YRjrN\">pic.twitter.com\/gR2C5YRjrN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Virginia Kruta (@VAKruta) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VAKruta\/status\/1549180219445186561?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sorkin began to pose a question to Firestone when the sound of barking echoed from the house behind her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI see we another guest that\u2019s joining us, and we appreciate that. It\u2019s the dog days of summer, people talk about it that way,\u201d Sorkin cracked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m sorry,\u201d Firestone replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be sorry. You know, we love this. It adds to the \u2014 sort of \u2014 this is a live show, that\u2019s what we enjoy,\u201d Sorkin added, as Firestone continued to apologize. \u201cBut help us with this. Where are we now versus where are we in the fall I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the conventional wisdom or the prevailing wisdom? But the dogs seem to think that the dog days are going to get a little more exciting, but not in a good way come September.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Sorkin was talking, a man dressed only in a pair of boxer shorts shuffled through the room, walking straight through the frame behind Firestone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she\u2019s excited,\u201d Firestone said, referring to the dog.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s excited about the markets currently? I like that,\u201d Sorkin agreed.<\/p>\n<p>Firestone appeared to recover quickly, joking that her dog watched \u201cSquawk Box\u201d on a regular basis and was very excited about the markets.<\/p>\n<p>She went on to say that a lot could depend on whether or not another <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/with-omicron-variant-of-covid-reinfection-is-common-and-not-painless\/\">COVID surge<\/a> triggered another wave of lockdowns or other mitigation measures that could impact multiple economic sectors.
