Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey said during a press event calling for the expansion of the Supreme Court. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/01\/liberals-blast-scotus-epa-decision\/\">(RELATED: \u2018Burning America To The Ground\u2019: Liberals Blast SCOTUS EPA Decision)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/30\/supreme-court-epa-climate-congress-powers\/\">ruled<\/a> that the Environmental Protection Agency exceeded its authority when it tried to enact the Clean Power Plan in June, one of several rulings that were victories for conservatives. The rulings included the high court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\">overturning<\/a> Roe v. Wade and a decision that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/23\/supreme-court-second-amendment-concealed-carry-new-york\/\">struck down<\/a> New York\u2019s requirement that applicants for a concealed carry permit show \u201cgood cause\u201d to carry a gun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA month ago, reactionaries \u2013 reactionaries in robes \u2013 decided we don\u2019t have constitutional rights to an abortion,\u201d Coleman said. \u201cIn so doing, they showed us they are willing to eliminate our freedoms to make a decision about our own bodies. The Dobbs v. [Jackson] Women\u2019s Health [Organization] decision imposes the will of five unelected religious extremists upon nearly 330 million people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn one month, it declared gun violence prevention legislation unconstitutional, rolled back Miranda rights and weakened the separation of church and state,\u201d Coleman said.<\/p>\n<p>Liberals and some Democratic lawmakers <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/expand-scotus-markey-mondaire-jones-jayapal\/\">called<\/a> for the expansion of the Supreme Court in the wake of the rulings, a move <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/12\/poll-majority-democrats-abolish-pack-supreme-court-heartland-institute-rasmussen\/\">supported<\/a> by a majority of Democrats, according to a poll released Tuesday.
