News<\/a>\u00a0that the young star was pulled over by cops on July 9 when he allegedly ran a red light at around 11:30 p.m., the outlet noted in a piece published Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Police told the outlet that, the \u201cEdge of Seventeen\u201d star reportedly displayed the \u201cobjective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jenner also reportedly did not \u201cperform\u201d a series of standardized field sobriety tests \u201cas demonstrated and instructed,\u201d the outlet noted.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Glee Actor Blake Jenner Arrested on DUI Charge in California <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PHZ8pW9JGt\">https:\/\/t.co\/PHZ8pW9JGt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 People (@people) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/people\/status\/1548736328195620864?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jenner was arrested and booked for misdemeanor DUI, the outlet noted. The actor has since been released with a citation and will have to appear in court at a later date to deal with the charge.<\/p>\n<p>On the hit Fox show, Blake\u2019s break out role was as Ryder Lynn during the series\u2019 fourth and fifth seasons. The role came about after he ended up winning the reality TV series in 2012, \u201cThe Glee Project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, Blake and his co-star on \u201cGlee\u201d Melissa Benoist got engaged and tied the knot in 2015. In 2016, Benoist filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, the piece noted.\u00a0In November 2019, Melissa posted a video on Instagram talking about her alleged experience of domestic abuse. However, she did not name her alleged abuser.<\/p>\n<p>A year later, Jenner appeared to address his ex-wife\u2019s post and wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CGGFpQgH8I5\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;ig_rid=eb1aa9fe-04c6-4b39-ad47-52f8e67a720c\">statement<\/a> on Instagram that his marriage to Benoist was filled with \u201cmoments of jealousy, bouts of insecurity, and volatility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blake stated that he takes \u201cfull responsibility and accountability\u201d for being \u201cemotionally, mentally and yes, physically\u201d abusive towards his ex-wife. He also accused her of allegedly inflicting pain on him as well, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1196399\/blake-jenner-breaks-silence-on-melissa-benoists-domestic-violence-claims-nearly-one-year-later\">outlet<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>The star wrote that, there was \u201cmental, emotional and physical abuse inflicted from both ends,\u201d writing that the former couple reached out to a therapist on how to end the \u201ctoxic cycle\u201d they were stuck in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are many things that I wish I could have done differently,\u201d Jenner shared at the time. \u201cAnd while I wish it did not take the pain that was suffered throughout the course of our relationship, I will never regress to making the same mistakes ever again. I will never stop doing the work necessary to better myself in all areas of my life.
