Version: 4.0.47--><p>Actress Emilia Clarke called it \u201cremarkable\u201d she\u2019s \u201cable to speak\u201d and live her life after she suffered not one but \u201ctwo life-threatening brain aneurysms\u201d in 2011 and 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/game-of-thrones-star-emilia-clarke-says-she-feels-pressured-to-perform-nude-scenes\">35-year-old<\/a> English star opened up about the aneurysm, calling it the \u201cmost excruciating pain\u201d as she noted that it\u2019s not something everyone can survive, during an interview she gave on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/iplayer\/episode\/m0019f3z\/sunday-morning-17072022\">BBC\u2019s<\/a> \u201cSunday Morning.\u201d The comments were noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/tv\/news\/emilia-clarke-brain-surgery-aneurysm-1235318521\/\">Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the most excruciating pain,\u201d the actress shared. \u201cIt was incredibly helpful to have \u2018Game of Thrones\u2019 sweep me up and give me that purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe amount of my brain that is no longer usable \u2014 it\u2019s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions,\u201d she added. \u201cI am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Emilia Clarke recalls her recovery from two brain aneurysms while working on &#8220;Game of Thrones&#8221;: \u201cI am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y47ctg0cJ9\">https:\/\/t.co\/y47ctg0cJ9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Variety (@Variety) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Variety\/status\/1548870171770634246?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The actress also talked about seeing the scans of her brain after the aneurysms and said that \u201cthere\u2019s quite a bit missing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhich always makes me laugh\u2026 strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn\u2019t get blood for a second, it\u2019s gone,\u201d Emilia told the outlet. \u201cSo the blood finds a different route to get around, but then whatever bit is missing is therefore gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d star finished filming for season one of the hit HBO show, she experienced her first aneurysm which lead to a stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/health\/emilia-clarke-says-shes-missing-parts-of-her-brain-after-suffering-two-aneurysms\/\">People magazine<\/a> noted.\u00a0Two years later, the \u201cMe Before You\u201d star would have surgery to stop a second aneurysm that was about to \u201cpop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Sunday\u2019s interview, Clarke said she\u2019s gotten to the point where she accepts what happened to her and said she\u2019s no longer worrying about what could have been.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought, \u2018Well, this is who you are. This is the brain that you have,&#8217;\u201d the superstar shared. \u201cSo there\u2019s no point in continually wracking your brains about what might not be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLast Christmas\u201d star has since created a charity in England and Wales following her experiences to help others who\u2019ve suffered from brain injuries and strokes.
