Out of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2021\/07\/30\/new-wyoming-poll-shows-more-trouble-for-liz-cheney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">three surveys<\/a>\u00a0conducted since the 2020 election, Cheney failed to garner more than 29 percent support among likely primary voters.<\/p>\n<p>The endangered incumbent who\u2019s carved out a never-ending feud with former President Donald Trump as a hallmark of her time in the lower chamber has turned to Democrats to save her seat. Last month, Cheney<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/23\/liz-cheney-is-begging-democrats-to-save-her-career-in-upcoming-wyoming-primary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> sent mailers <\/a>to state Democrats on how to change their party registration for the upcoming contest. <\/p>\n<p>The three-term congresswoman can\u2019t win re-election, however, by relying solely on Democrats and a handful of Republicans in August. The numbers just aren\u2019t there with Republicans outnumbering Democrats with more than 200,000 registrants compared to the Democrats\u2019 43,000. <\/p>\n<p>Hageman, meanwhile, has continued to build her grassroots support in the state that voted for Trump with a wider margin than anywhere else in the country. <\/p>\n<p>Cheney\u2019s primary advantage stems from a massive campaign war chest with more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/candidate\/H6WY00159\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$6.7 million<\/a> left in cash on hand to drown the airwaves in the final month, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/20\/liz-cheney-rakes-in-more-money-from-northern-virginia-than-from-her-home-state-wyoming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most of which<\/a> has come from outside constituents in northern Virginia. <\/p>\n<p>Hageman, on the other hand, is running with just more than $1 million left, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/candidate\/H2WY00166\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a> to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Tristan Justice is the western correspondent for The Federalist.
