The lawsuit accuses her former employer of condoning a workplace that included &#8220;sexual harassment,\u201d \u201cdiscrimination on the basis of sexual orientation\u201d and \u201cretaliation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Taylor\u2019s claims are based on a 2020 landmark Supreme Court case <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyez.org\/cases\/2019\/17-1618\">Bostock v. Clayton County<\/a>, barring employers from discriminating against LGBTQ employees on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Taylor filed a discrimination charge with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission in November 2021 after being fired. She told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/news\/national-international\/trans-woman-fired-from-chick-fil-a-sues-for-sexual-harassment-and-discrimination\/3773420\/?_osource=SocialFlowTwt_NYBrand\">NBC News<\/a> that she &#8220;transitioned about 3 years ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The trans woman alleges that after turning down the advances of a fellow coworker, his &#8220;vulgar advances and inappropriate body language intensified.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>She claims that after reporting the alleged harassment to management, they revealed to the coworker that Taylor is a biological male, against her will. According to the lawsuit, after Taylor\u2019s true identity was known to coworkers, they misgendered her. Taylor claims that she overheard coworkers make derogatory remarks about her. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;He came back of [sic] the meeting and returned to his post and started throwing things.
