Glenn Grothman, Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman first requested the information from the DOJ in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/582577838\/Letter-to-DOJ-Re-Oct-2021\">October<\/a> 2021. Now, they are re-upping their inquiry, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/582572129\/07-14-22-Follow-Up-Letter-to-DOJ-on-Jan-6-FINAL?secret_password=0GOr8UmwSfU4lcfdxxgn\">asking<\/a> Attorney General Merrick Garland to release the information since their constituents have a \u201cgrowing concern\u201d with the DOJ\u2019s \u201capparent failure\u201d to do so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany Americans question why their government, and the Department in particular, has been so selective in its release of footage,\u201d the lawmakers said in their letter. \u201cWe believe all Americans, including Members of Congress, the media, and the public at-large, should be able to view footage from January 6th that the Department has in its possession.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The committee investigating Jan. 6 has publicized some degree of <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/xZa7R\">unaired<\/a> footage during its ongoing hearings. The Republicans want to know \u201cwhat percentage of body camera, surveillance camera, and any other footage related to the events surrounding January 6th\u201d in the DOJ\u2019s possession has actually been made public.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the 14,000 hours of surveillance footage from Jan. 6 has not been made public,\u00a0Buzzfeed News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/zoetillman\/insurrection-capitol-footage-secret\">reported<\/a> in August 2021. It is unclear how things have changed roughly one year later.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/27\/rodney-davis-demands-answers-legislative-branch-agencies-work-january-6-committee\/\"><strong>(RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Rep.
