Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em>, which overturned the landmark case <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/roe-v-wade\"><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/a>, effectively kicking back abortion restrictions to the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am a woman, that is how I identify,\u201d Graves <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/13\/president-national-womens-law-center-goss-graves-refuses-define-woman\/\">deflected<\/a>, when asked by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/videos\/what-is-a-woman?hsa_ver=3&#038;hsa_ad=601327250293&#038;hsa_acc=6411461344&#038;hsa_grp=135685453885&#038;hsa_cam=16641304732&#038;utm_campaign=wiaw&#038;utm_campaign=dw_conversions_subscriptions_wiaw_na&#038;utm_medium=paid&#038;utm_medium=ppc&#038;cid=wiaw&#038;hsa_src=g&#038;mid=g&#038;utm_term=what%20is%20a%20woman%20documentary&#038;hsa_mt=b&#038;gclid=CjwKCAjw_b6WBhAQEiwAp4HyIBHRXXfsTjtvW5LrM0gkR6ZfR4EcjDct1Iw2FyeZPHj8Z84cCqWxChoCAFYQAvD_BwE&#038;utm_content=na_subscriptions&#038;hsa_tgt=kwd-1662524676850&#038;utm_source=googlesearch&#038;utm_source=adwords&#038;hsa_net=adwords&#038;hsa_kw=what%20is%20a%20woman%20documentary&#038;xid=0\">to define the term \u201cwoman.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NWLC leader then went on to assert that people other than women can get pregnant and that the representative\u2019s question is silly because it undermines this apparent reality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I wonder, however, if in part the reason that you\u2019re asking the question is that you\u2019re trying to suggest that people who don\u2019t identify as women can\u2019t get pregnant,\u201d Graves continued, according to The Daily Caller. \u201cI think it\u2019s actually really important to be very clear here, that there are people who identify as non-binary, I think about 5% of young people, who can be pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clyde responded by saying he wished he could get a simple, direct answer, one that reflects what we all learned in \u201chigh school biology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Graves suggested she was answering \u2014 <em>or not answering<\/em> \u2014 the question from a legal perspective.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) ran into a similar battle. The Republican was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/woke-insanity-hawley-states-only-women-can-get-pregnant-uc-prof-abortion-rights-advocate-calls-him-transphobic\">accused<\/a> of being \u201ctransphobic\u201d and opening up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/transgender\">transgender<\/a> people to \u201cviolence\u201d by a University of California at Berkeley Law professor Khiara Bridges because he asked her if only women can get pregnant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany women, cis women, have the capacity for pregnancy; many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy,\u201d Bridges said. \u201cThere are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy as well as non-binary people who are capable of pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic \u2026 and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them,\u201d the professor charged, later adding that Hawley was \u201cdenying that trans people exist and pretending not to know that they exist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Supreme Court Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-not-a-biologist-supreme-court-nominee-says-she-cant-define-the-word-woman\">Ketanji Brown Jackson<\/a> during her confirmation hearings, too, was unable to define the term \u201cwoman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jackson told Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) that she was unable to offer a definition because she is \u201cnot a biologist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t,\u201d Jackson said.\u00a0\u201cNot in this context, I\u2019m not a biologist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BLACKBURN: \u201cCan you define \u2018woman\u2019?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>JACKSON: \u201cI\u2019m not a biologist. The Daily Wire\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/the-matt-walsh-show\">Matt Walsh<\/a> routinely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-matt-walsh-stumps-lgbt-activist-on-dr-phil-show-what-is-a-woman\">stumped<\/a> activists by asking the simple question, what is a woman?
