The original story said the Ohio doctor referred the girl to Bernard since she could not legally have an abortion in Ohio, but state Attorney General Dave Yost <a href=\"https:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/6309391986112#sp=show-clips\">said<\/a> Monday night that Ohio law would have allowed the girl to have an abortion in the state. <\/p>\n<p>The story was criticized for using Bernard\u2019s word as its sole source, especially in light of her track record as a pro-abortion activist who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2022\/05\/11\/medical-education-of-abortion-could-be-erased-in-red-states\">has<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/indiana\/indiana-gop-leaders-call-for-abortion-legislative-action-next-month-in-wake-of-roe-ruling\/article_82b33ad0-f3e1-11ec-911c-074f40d6670c.html\">spoken<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfyi.org\/news\/articles\/an-abortion-ban-is-likely-in-indiana-some-doctors-say-womens-health-will-suffer\">to<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/fox59.com\/news\/this-is-really-a-devastating-decision-local-health-providers-experts-concerned-for-scotus-ruling\/\">the<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrtv.com\/news\/local-news\/indianapolis\/healthcare-workers-rally-for-abortion-access-on-iupui-campus\">press<\/a> numerous times. Bernard has even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/indiana-ban-on-dismemberment-abortion-goes-into-effect\/\">sued<\/a> to block an Indiana law prohibiting dismemberment abortions, although the law has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/indiana-ban-on-dismemberment-abortion-goes-into-effect\/\">allowed<\/a> to take effect since the Supreme Court overturned <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. The other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/app\/details\/USCOURTS-insd-1_19-cv-01660\">plaintiff<\/a> in the lawsuit, Katherine McHugh, was also quoted in the Indianapolis Star\u2019s article. <\/p>\n<p>Yost said on Monday night that there was \u201cnot a whisper\u201d among state law enforcement that the alleged rape had occured, but the Columbus Dispatch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dispatch.com\/story\/news\/2022\/07\/13\/columbus-man-charged-rape-10-year-old-led-abortion-in-indiana\/10046625002\/\">reported<\/a> on Wednesday that 27-year-old Gershon Fuentes, who is believed to be in the country illegally, has been arrested and charged with rape.
