Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) attempted to deflect any responsibility for Wednesday\u2019s devastating inflation report, blaming the over 40-year high on Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as supply chain issues connected to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic and \u201ccorporate monopolies\u201d rather than poor economic policies embraced by Democrats, who have total control in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn energy shock from Putin\u2019s war, supply chains still reeling from a pandemic, and corporate monopolies raising prices are all driving inflation,\u201d the far-left Democrat said following the report that saw the annual inflation rate rising to 9.1 percent.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m deeply concerned that the Fed is ill-equipped to respond and rate hikes could cause a recession. Congress needs to step up, too,\u201d Warren continued, urging Congress to take action by\u00a0\u201cmaking billionaire corporations pay a minimum in taxes, invest in affordable child care, and empower Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe must use every tool to lower costs for working families,\u201d she said, failing to mention that Democrats have complete control in Washington, DC.
