For $10 each, customers enjoyed frozen creations shaped like Tesla and SpaceX <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/tag\/elon-musk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mogul<\/a> Elon Musk, Amazon <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/tag\/jeff-bezos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">founder<\/a> Jeff Bezos, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Chinese business magnate Jack Ma, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. That is, while supplies lasted\u2014the trucks sold out during their three days on the road. Similar ice cream treats cost between one and four dollars, a <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> analysis found.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Eat the Rich&#8221; has been a rallying cry among young anti-capitalist activists in recent years, with the phrase gaining traction from tens of millions on social media platforms such as Twitter and TikTok. The line and its sister line &#8220;Tax the Rich&#8221; have gained immense popularity on the left wing of the Democratic Party. Self-proclaimed socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/aocs-designer-met-gala-getup-violated-ethics-rules-complaint-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wore<\/a> a &#8220;Tax the Rich&#8221; gown to the 2021 Met Gala. Tickets to the gala reportedly cost $35,000.<\/p>\n<p>Most who commented on a video of the New York ice cream truck took issue with the price of the billionaire freeze pops. Inflation reached <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/biden-pooh-poohs-unprecedented-inflation-spike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">record highs<\/a> Wednesday, and increased food and gas prices have forced many Americans to dip into their <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/skipping-meals-conserving-water-bidenflation-wreaks-havoc-on-personal-spending-poll-shows\/\">savings<\/a> for everyday necessities. Many said $10 is too steep, even if it\u2019s fighting the 1 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Who can afford to eat the rich for $10 in this economy,&#8221; one viewer said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For 10 dollars they better light a blunt with me and hear me out,&#8221; said another.<\/p>\n<p>The group responsible for the stunt is MSCHF, a social justice-oriented <a href=\"https:\/\/eattherichpopsicles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artist collective<\/a>. The organization is also responsible for &#8220;Satan shoes,&#8221; which\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/28\/style\/nike-satan-shoes-lil-Nas-x.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/28\/style\/nike-satan-shoes-lil-Nas-x.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/28\/style\/nike-satan-shoes-lil-Nas-x.html&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1657827871212000&#038;usg=AOvVaw24MAmLRQxOGwPIZUFSVXIn\">cost<\/a> $1,018 a pair and went viral early last year. Shortly after, MSCHF launched &#8220;Jesus shoes,&#8221; white versions of their devilish counterparts that <a title=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/nike-air-max-97-jesus-shoes-filled-with-holy-water-selling-for-4000-2019-10-11\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/nike-air-max-97-jesus-shoes-filled-with-holy-water-selling-for-4000-2019-10-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/nike-air-max-97-jesus-shoes-filled-with-holy-water-selling-for-4000-2019-10-11\/&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1657827871212000&#038;usg=AOvVaw1xN0jFVAtaVPrjFcEfHfPi\">retailed<\/a> at $1,425 and were listed on reselling sites for $4,000. Nike&#8217;s Air Max shoes, which both projects were adapted from, cost $160.<\/p>\n<p>MSCHF&#8217;s first &#8220;art&#8221; installation, which was called &#8220;The Persistence of Chaos,&#8221; <a title=\"https:\/\/thepersistenceofchaos.com\/?_ga=2.61106411.610509636.1609717876-202046526.1609717876\" href=\"https:\/\/thepersistenceofchaos.com\/?_ga=2.61106411.610509636.1609717876-202046526.1609717876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/thepersistenceofchaos.com\/?_ga%3D2.61106411.610509636.1609717876-202046526.1609717876&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1657827871212000&#038;usg=AOvVaw1sqOgVYVNY15hCSjh66xq7\">featured<\/a> &#8220;a laptop running six pieces of malware that have caused financial damages totaling $95B,&#8221; according to their website.
