This means users are not allowed to acknowledge that the actress was called Ellen Page before deciding she\u2019s really a guy named Elliot.<\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s take a real look at Page\u2019s \u201ctransformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Top Surgery\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/tests-procedures\/top-surgery-for-transgender-men\/about\/pac-20469462\">According<\/a> to the Mayo Clinic, a \u201ctop surgery,\u201d which Page has bragged about having, involves \u201cmore\u201d than a subcutaneous mastectomy surgery, typically reserved for cancer patients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTop surgery involves more than a mastectomy for the treatment of breast cancer,\u201d\u00a0the medical center outlines. \u201cSpecial techniques are used to contour and reduce the chest wall, position the nipples and areola, and minimize scarring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The surgery \u201cwill cause irreversible physical changes\u201d and patients could \u201cneed additional surgery to correct scarring, chest contour, or the placement of the nipples and areola.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of the stated risks include\u00a0bleeding, infection,\u00a0loss of sensation to the nipple, an adverse reaction to anesthesia, fluid buildup beneath the skin, solid swelling of clotted blood within your tissues, damaged or dead body tissue, an imbalance in chest tissue, scarring, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayo Clinic further notes that patients could end up \u201cnot\u00a0being satisfied with appearance after surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Hormone Treatment\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Page is also likely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9xNi5NG-82w\">taking hormones<\/a>, which has seemed to deepen her voice and slightly change her face.<\/p>\n<p>For \u201cmasculinizing hormone therapy,\u201d biological females are given the male hormone testosterone, \u201cwhich suppresses your menstrual cycles and decreases the production of estrogen from your ovaries,\u201d the Mayor Clinic says.<\/p>\n<p>The so-called therapy \u201ccan affect your fertility and sexual function and cause other health problems,\u201d the medical center warns.<\/p>\n<p>Here are more of the states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/tests-procedures\/masculinizing-hormone-therapy\/about\/pac-20385099\">risks<\/a> via the Mayor Clinic:<\/p>\n<p><em>Producing too many red blood cells (polycythemia)<\/em><em>Weight gain<\/em><em>Acne<\/em><em>Developing male-pattern baldness<\/em><em>Sleep apnea<\/em><em>Developing an abnormal level of cholesterol and other lipids, which may increase cardiovascular risk (dyslipidemia)<\/em><em>High blood pressure (hypertension)<\/em><em>Type 2 diabetes<\/em><em>Deep vein thrombosis and\/or pulmonary embolism (venous thromboembolism)<\/em><em>Infertility<\/em><em>A condition where the lining of the vagina becomes drier and thinner (atrophic vaginitis)<\/em><em>Pelvic pain<\/em><em>Clitoral discomfort<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The medical center notes that \u201cconclusions can\u2019t be drawn about whether masculinizing hormone therapy increases the risk of ovarian and uterine cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Abdominal Etching\u2019 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Social media users have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibtimes.sg\/are-elliot-pages-abs-fake-debate-social-media-actor-poses-shirtless-after-life-saving-top-57706\">debated<\/a> if Page has had abdominal muscle implants, comparing the actress\u2019 stomach to her post-op pics.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Has Elliot page had ab implants?
