It comes as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/very-unfavorable-political-scenario-appears-to-be-taking-shape-for-democrats_4592810.html\">Democrat polling<\/a> shows\u00a0Biden\u2019s age is undermining his leadership and can cost his reelection chances in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, 76, wrote on his social media start-up Truth Social on July 10: \u201cPresident Biden is one of the oldest 79s in History, but by and of itself, he is not an old man. There are many people in their 80s, and even 90s, that are as good and sharp as ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden is not one of them, but it has little to do with his age,\u201d he continued. \u201cIn actuality, life begins at 80!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His remarks followed a poll published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/11\/us\/politics\/biden-approval-polling-2024.html?\">New York Times<\/a> in conjunction with Siena College, finding 64 percent of Democratic voters said they would prefer a new party\u2019s presidential nominee in 2024, not Biden. 33 percent of them cited the president\u2019s age as their main concern, according to the poll.<\/p>\n<p>Early this year, a national Quinnipiac University <a href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/images\/polling\/us\/us01122022_ubjw88.pdf\">poll<\/a> shows voters nationwide gave Biden a job approval rating of 33 percent, driven by concerns over the economy, foreign policies, and COVID-19 handling.<\/p>\n<p>The White House didn\u2019t immediately reply to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s\u00a0cognitive state has been in question given his so-called gaffes\u2014both before and after taking office\u2014have triggered officials to walk back on his comments shortly after.\u00a0On March 26, Biden made a comment amid the Ukraine crisis saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin \u201ccannot remain in power,\u201d causing confusion as to whether the United States was seeking to topple the Russian regime.<\/p>\n<p>The president had also conducted fewer unscripted interactions with the news media as of nearly his first full year in office, compared to any of his six most recent White House<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump says that \u201clife begins at 80,\u201d dismissing claims that attribute President Joe Biden\u2019s job performance to his old age.
