The character then puts on a superhero suit and becomes Thor, New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/07\/12\/thor-4-viewers-want-trigger-warning-for-one-particular-scene\">reported<\/a>. Jane later goes through chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>The whole cancer storyline in \u201cThor 4\u201d is traumatic for some viewers to such an extent that they\u2019re asking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/marvel\">Marvel<\/a> to include a trigger warning on the content.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo spoilers, but Thor: Love and Thunder SHOULD have had a trigger warning for graphic depiction of cancer and the fact that we didn\u2019t know going in is atrocious,\u201d one fan <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/xavmoir\/status\/1544599919235055616\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt practically ruined any ability for me to emotionally care about the movie since I felt like I had to shut off any feelings off to protect myself from connecting with the content and needing to leave part way through,\u201d another user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/xavmoir\/status\/1544687733788278784\">replied<\/a> to the original poster.<\/p>\n<p>This led to a significant backlash; however, other fans were left rolling their eyes and saying people are too sensitive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSorry, kids. A movie studio is under no obligation to give you a trigger warning that spoils the film for everyone JUST IN CASE. You have the internet. Read the spoilers if you\u2019re that worried about it. #Thor,\u201d one person <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidcroberson\/status\/1546795019515871232\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a cancer survivor, I find this extremely stupid,\u201d someone else <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marvelousmeshel\/status\/1546648762470342657\">agreed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeoples reactions to the suggestions of trigger warnings for Thor truly make me realise how cold, disgusting, and cruel humans can be,\u201d one person mused about the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DavidOsgar\/status\/1546479962160496641\">response<\/a>. \u201cPeople deserve to know what emotions they want to feel when going to potentially have a good time at the movies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is sickening and yet at the same time, not surprised by those responses,\u201d another person <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kehenulo\/status\/1546482984085344259\">said<\/a>. \u201cPeople now act with a sense of entitlement that routinely excludes others\u2019 disabilities or lived experiences. Insensitive gatekeeping at its finest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portman made headlines recently for celebrating that \u201cThor 4\u201d was the \u201cgayest\u201d Marvel movie to date. \u201cI love that,\u201d she said when a film critic brought it up, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/i-love-that-natalie-portman-boasts-new-thor-film-is-the-gayest-marvel-movie-yet\">The Daily Wire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, these LGBT themes will likely lead to the superhero film being banned in China.
