Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to a combination of now-President Biden\u2019s horrific policies and a decades-long war against American-made energy, Americans find themselves begging foreign nations for oil and gasoline,\u201d Rubio wrote in an <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/962jB#selection-669.0-669.76\">op-ed<\/a> published on National Review on July 7.<\/p>\n<p>Biden, who is facing mounting pressures as soaring prices at the pump have left American drivers frustrated, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/biden-administration-eases-sanctions-against-cuba-and-venezuela_4475496.html\">eased<\/a> sanctions on Venezuela in May, allowing the U.S. oil company Chevron to negotiate with the country\u2019s state-backed oil company.<\/p>\n<p>The President will travel to Saudi Arabia this week and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/biden-defends-decision-visit-saudi-arabia-says-rights-are-his-agenda-2022-07-10\/\">expected<\/a> to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the oil-rich kingdom\u2019s de facto leader, who is believed to be behind the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/mkt_app\/saudi-crown-prince-approved-operation-against-khashoggi-us-intelligence-report-shows_3712955.html\">U.S. intelligence officials<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut what comes next will be even more embarrassing for the United States: President Biden will almost certainly ask the Chinese Communist Party to power up its refineries and ship refined petroleum products to America,\u201d said Rubio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he will be willing to pay a high price for it, likely by removing hundreds, if not thousands, of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-tariffs\">tariffs<\/a> that help American industry compete with cheap\u2014and forced\u2014Chinese labor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden said on June 19 that he would speak with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/biden-says-still-deciding-on-trump-era-china-tariffs-will-speak-with-chinese-leader-soon_4544819.html\">soon<\/a>\u201d and is in the process of deciding what to do with the tariffs on more than $300 worth of Chinese goods imposed by the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt only takes a little foresight to see how refined petroleum products may become part of the bargain,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/07\/08\/GettyImages-1241459188-1200x799.jpg\"><\/a> President Joe Biden delivers remarks on efforts to lower high gas prices in the South Court Auditorium<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amid oil price hikes, U.S. President Joe Biden will \u201calmost certainly\u201d seek help from China, whose ruling Communist Party has pursued to make political gains while exporting refined products, said Sen.
