He was eventually escorted out of the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause make no mistake\u2014\u201d Biden said when he was attempting to hear what Oliver had to say.\u00a0\u201cSit down, you\u2019ll hear what I have to say, if you think\u2014\u201d Biden added.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WFLA\/status\/1546535355674943488\">footage of the event<\/a>, Oliver appeared to be suggesting that the gun control bill doesn\u2019t go far enough, saying that\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve been trying to tell you this for years, for years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have one, let me finish my comment \u2026 let him talk, let him talk,\u201d Biden said before White House staff escorted the man out of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Monday, Oliver suggested to CNN that he would interrupt the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a while that I\u2019ve been calling out that using the words celebration, getting together, it\u2019s like we\u2019re going to a party, to a wedding today, you know, we all received invitations,\u201d he said in the interview, referring to terms that were used to describe celebrating the passage of the gun control law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really wish there was more in this package of bills and I will do everything, whatever I can to get more in this package of bills,\u201d Oliver also told CNN.<\/p>\n<p> Law <\/p>\n<p>Pro-Second Amendment lobby groups, however, said the latest measure, which was backed by 15 Republican and all Democrat senators, will further limit Americans\u2019 constitutional right to obtain firearms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should relentlessly hold accountable the Senators\u201d who voted to pass the bill, Gun Owners\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunowners.org\/na06212022\/\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cBut we should thank the Republican Senators who are NOT listed, as they stood up for our 2A<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden was interrupted on Monday during an event that highlighted the passage of a new gun control law.
