The president&#8217;s disapproval rating, meanwhile, has risen to 56.7 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Former president Donald Trump&#8217;s favorability rating is 5 points higher than Biden&#8217;s, <em>RealClearPolitics<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/trump_favorableunfavorable-5493.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a>, and fewer than 2 points shy of his all-time high.\u00a0Pollsters have consistently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/11\/04\/us\/politics\/poll-results.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">underestimated<\/a> Trump&#8217;s popularity, a <em>New York Times<\/em> report found in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The polling news comes as the Biden administration in recent months has\u00a0made several controversial moves. Many economists, including former Obama administration officials, have <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/this-study-shows-how-bidens-stimulus-contributed-to-inflation\/\">blamed<\/a> Biden&#8217;s $2 trillion stimulus plan for 40-year-high inflation numbers. Biden also sold a million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to a Chinese state-controlled company, the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/biden-sold-a-million-barrels-from-us-strategic-petroleum-reserve-to-china-owned-gas-giant\/\">reported<\/a> Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3546646-trump-flirtation-with-2024-run-growing-more-serious\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/report-biden-told-obama-he-is-running-for-a-second-term\/\">Biden<\/a> are reportedly gearing up for a 2024 rematch, Biden&#8217;s support in the Democratic Party is wavering. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/biden-old-harris-busted-2024\/\">Multiple<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/joe-biden-too-old\/\">reports<\/a> have indicated that Democrats don&#8217;t want Biden, who will turn 82 in 2024, to run for reelection.
