Christopher Smith<\/a> (R-N.J.) who is the longest-serving U.S. House member in state history.<\/p>\n<p>Smith, 69, is expected to cruise past Democrat challenger <a href=\"https:\/\/mattjenkinsforcongress.com\">Matthew Jenkins<\/a> to secure his 22nd term representing Congressional District (CD) 4 in November.<\/p>\n<p>The only open seat in New Jersey\u2019s 12-member congressional delegation is in CD 8, where U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-N.J.) is retiring after representing the urban district across the Hudson from Manhattan since 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Port Authority Commissioner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robmenendez.com\">Robert Menendez, Jr<\/a>., the son of U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), is projected to dispatch Republican challenger Marcus Arroyo in the deep-blue district.<\/p>\n<p>The most compelling New Jersey congressional races are projected to be in CD 3 and CD 7, where incumbent Democrats face robustly financed Republicans boosted by post-Census redistricting and growing numbers of Republican voters.<\/p>\n<p>In CD 3, Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bobhealeyfornj.com\">Bob Healey<\/a>, executive co-chair of the Viking Group, a shipbuilding company that employs at least 1,000 people in the Burlington area, out-polled two other candidates in the GOP primary and will square off with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.andykim.com\">Rep.
