Previously, Bannon\u2019s lawyers have said that he would not respond to the panel\u2019s subpoenas due to the\u00a0privilege.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you first received the Subpoena to testify and provide documents, I invoked Executive Privilege. However, I watched how unfairly you and others have been treated, having to spend vast amounts of money on legal fees, and all of the trauma you must be going through for the love of your Country, and out of respect for the Office of the President,\u201d Trump said in the letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, if you reach an agreement on a time and place for your testimony, I will waive Executive Privilege for you, which allows you to go in and testify truthfully and fairly,\u201d Trump continued to say.<\/p>\n<p>A member of the House panel, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), told <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNN\/status\/1546129972959612929?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1546129972959612929%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vanityfair.com%2Fnews%2F2022%2F07%2Fsteve-bannon-willing-to-testify-in-a-sharp-reversal-jan-6-committee\">CNN<\/a> on Sunday that the committee received Bannon\u2019s letter.
