Her father was a true\u00a0movie star and her mother, Maggie Johnson was an actress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarmel is a beautiful place and I think my parents really wanted to get out of Hollywood to raise their kids,\u201d Eastwood shared. \u201cWhen my dad was in the army, he was stationed in the Monterey peninsula, so he loved the area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd my mom fell in love with it too,\u201d she added. \u201cThey both lived in LA, but when it came time to raise a family, they felt it was important to get out of the Hollywood scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad they did because it was a very magical upbringing,\u201d the star continued. \u00a0\u201cWe lived surrounded by the forest where we had baby deer, raccoons \u2013 all sorts of wildlife. And we were right on the ocean. My brother and I would just go outside and enjoy nature. I think that\u2019s why I love animals and nature so much because I grew up in that kind of environment. It\u2019s hard not to appreciate it on a very deep level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The daughter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/clint-eastwood-offers-surprising-support-for-this-2020-candidate\">famed Hollywood legend<\/a>\u00a0ended up following in her father\u2019s footsteps. Alison said he never \u201cencouraged\u201d her to pursue acting as a career, but was very supportive when she told him she was going to give it a shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [Eastwood] just simply told us that we could do whatever we wanted as long as it made us happy,\u201d the \u201cAbsolute Power\u201d star shared. \u201cAt first, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but when I reached high school, I was told I had to go to college for eight years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the time, I didn\u2019t want to do that,\u201d she added. \u201cSo I ended up getting into the film world, not just with acting, but also working behind the scenes.
