Also included in the package are 1,000 rounds of 155 millimeter artillery.<\/p>\n<p>Four High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) will be given to Ukraine as part of the aid, which will add to the eight other HIMARS the U.S. has already given to the country.<\/p>\n<p>The aid comes as Biden said last week that the U.S. would support Ukraine \u201cas long as it takes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to support Ukraine as long as it takes,\u201d Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-refuses-to-limit-aid-to-ukraine-make-sure-they-are-not-defeated-by-russia\">said<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know how it\u2019s going to end but it will not end, but it will not end with a Russian defeat of Ukraine in Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that his nation has not \u201cstarted anything in earnest\u201d to this point in the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Associated Press, the latest aid package is the 15th such one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/us-sending-400-million-in-military-aid-to-ukraine\/2022\/07\/08\/c0acc308-fee3-11ec-b39d-71309168014b_story.html\">given<\/a> to Ukraine since last August. The U.S. has also sent over $7 billion dollars to Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in late February.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/21\/world\/biden-ukraine-zelensky-ceasefire-russia.html\">signed<\/a> a massive $40 billion Ukrainian aid package that included military and humanitarian provisions. As the package <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/we-cannot-save-ukraine-by-dooming-the-u-s-economy-rand-paul-blocks-immediate-vote-on-billion-dollar-ukraine-package\">made<\/a> its way through the Senate, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) warned that it could damage the U.S. economy and contribute to inflation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy,\u201d the Republican senator added, referencing the steep increases in gas, food, and used vehicles faced by Americans. \u201cInflation doesn\u2019t just come out of nowhere, it comes from deficit spending.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this gift to Ukraine passes, our total aid to Ukraine will almost equal the entire military budget of Russia. And it\u2019s not as if we have that money lying around, we will have to borrow that money from China to send it to Ukraine,\u201d Paul stated.<\/p>\n<p>Things could get even more expensive, as earlier this week, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/05\/world\/europe\/ukraines-prime-minister-says-rebuilding-will-cost-750-billion.html\">announced<\/a> that it would take $750 billion dollars to fix the Ukrainian economy and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>President Volodymyr Zelensky said rebuilding Ukraine would be an international project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is Russia\u2019s attack on everything that is of value to you and me,\u201d he said. \u201cTherefore, the reconstruction of Ukraine is not a local project, not a project of one nation, but a joint task of the entire democratic world.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Biden administration is sending millions of dollars more in military aid to Ukraine, on top of the billions the U.S. has already given to the country during its war with Russia.
