The guideline is another strict measure in Biden&#8217;s American energy policy, similar to the previous <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-supreme-court-rules-against-epas-authority-to-limit-emissions-by-remaking-energy-sector\">overreach of the EPA<\/a> in limiting emissions that the Supreme Court recently struck down.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>In 2020 when running for President, Joe Biden promised to <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/biden-vows-to-end-the-fossil-fuel-industry-just-as-the-us-achieves-energy-independence\">fundamentally transform America&#8217;s energy sector<\/a> by ending the fossil fuel industry. His announcement came just after the US had achieved energy independence.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>When the President took office he <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/biden-energy-sec-says-its-dc-bs-to-say-admins-policies-have-led-to-skyrocketing-gas-prices\">set the goal<\/a> of getting to 100 percent clean electricity by 2035 and net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The Biden administration promised to achieve that goal by enacting measures such as replacing the federal government&#8217;s entire fleet of vehicles with &#8220;net-zero emissions&#8221; cars, which are products <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/watch-biden-to-replace-federal-governments-entire-fleet-of-vehicles-with-net-zero-emissions-cars-which-dont-actually-exist\">that do not exist<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>By the end of Biden&#8217;s first year in office, the country was facing a historic <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/biden-appears-to-mock-americans-intelligence-in-comments-about-supply-chain\">supply chain crisis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/bidenflation-3500-this-year\">record high inflation<\/a>. Those factors combined with Biden reversing America&#8217;s energy independence through acts like <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/biden-to-cancel-keystone-xl-pipeline\">canceling the Keystone XL pipeline<\/a>, led to record high gas prices by <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/democrats-appear-to-celebrate-gas-prices-dropping-two-cents\">December 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>In 2022 the Biden Administration maintained their energy policy and had Transportation Secretary, who also believes <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/buttigieg-tackling-racism-highways\">roads are racist<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/watch-kamala-mayor-pete-push-electric-cars-on-americans-as-gas-prices-soar\">pushing electric cars<\/a> on Americans as gas prices soared.
