Ro Khanna (D-CA) criticized his Party\u2019s leader President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/joe-biden\">Joe Biden<\/a> Thursday for not doing enough on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/oil-and-gas\">oil<\/a> policy as Americans continue to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gas-prices-up-nearly-80-since-biden-took-office\">pay<\/a> close to $5 a gallon at the pump.<\/p>\n<p>Khanna made an appearance on Fox News and said he \u201cdoesn\u2019t understand\u201d why the Biden administration has not banned oil exports to help lower the price of gas for Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t understand why we aren\u2019t having a ban on exports,\u201d Khanna commented, adding, \u201cI do think we have to be doing more. People in my district \u2013 they\u2019re talking to me about gas prices, they\u2019re talking to me about higher food prices, they\u2019re talking to me about the airlines getting canceled. \u2026 Those are the issues front and center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ro Khanna (D-CA) blasts Biden for exporting American oil to foreign countries while gas prices soar:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don\u2019t understand why we aren\u2019t having a ban on exports\u2026people in my district, they&#8217;re talking to me about gas prices, about higher food prices\u2026airlines getting cancelled.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4pKyFvynWd\">pic.twitter.com\/4pKyFvynWd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Townhall.com (@townhallcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/1545098036594057217?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 7, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Khanna\u2019s comments come after Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/oil-us-reserves-head-overseas-gasoline-prices-stay-high-2022-07-05\/\">reported<\/a> Tuesday that more than five million barrels of oil that President Joe Biden released from the strategic reserves were sent to European and Asian nations, including communist China.<\/p>\n<p>Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the U.S. oil making its way around the world, but said she was not aware of the matter and that she \u201cwould look into it,\u201d The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/stunning-amount-of-oil-released-by-biden-found-its-way-to-china-other-countries\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Karine Jean-Pierre doesn\u2019t know that millions of barrels of oil released from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve have been sent to foreign countries. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B51kV5XFC6\">pic.twitter.com\/B51kV5XFC6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1544418398230265859?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 5, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nearly one million barrels of the oil released by Biden\u2019s order made its way to a Chinese company connected to the president\u2019s son, Hunter Biden, as the Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-admin-sold-nearly-1-million-barrels-of-oil-to-chinese-state-owned-company-tied-to-hunter-biden\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese-owned company Sinopec, which has an American branch called Unipec, received close to one million barrels of oil from the U.S. strategic reserves in a sale with the U.S. government, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/biden-sold-a-million-barrels-from-us-strategic-petroleum-reserve-to-china-owned-gas-giant\/\">The Washington Free Beacon<<br \/><\/a> pointed out on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Sinopec has a prior history with the Bidens. In 2013, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/collections\/the-hunter-biden-files\">Hunter Biden<\/a> co-founded the private equity firm BHR Partners. In 2015, BHR acquired a $1.7 billion stake in Sinopec Marketing. In 2017, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/29\/hunter-biden-bhr-partners-100-days\/\">took<\/a> a minority stake in BHR, purchasing a 10% stake through an LLC he solely owned called Skaneateles.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, an attorney for Hunter Biden told The New York Times that Hunter \u201cno longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in either BHR or Skaneateles.\u201d As recently as March, records in China\u2019s National Credit Information Publicity System <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/hunter-biden-still-listed-as-part-owner-of-chinese-firm-despite-divestment-claim\">showed<\/a> that Skaneateles still retained its 10% stake in BHR. Business records in Washington, D.C., still listed Hunter as the sole owner of Skaneateles at the time.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear whether the Chinese records were accurate or needed to be updated.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/author\/tim-pearce\">Tim Pearce<\/a> contributed to this report.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
