Wade and several states restricted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-abortion\">abortion<\/a>, author\u00a0Alexandra DeSanctis said she hopes the ruling will lead to a restoration of the family.<\/p>\n<p>DeSanctis, who co-wrote the book \u201cTearing Us Apart: How Abortion Harms Everything and Solves Nothing,\u201d appeared with her co-author\u00a0Ryan T. Anderson in a June 28 interview for EpochTV\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/democrat-state-rep-calls-for-election-secret-sleepers-in-leaked-audio-russia-arming-ally-with-nukes_4562604.html\">Crossroads<\/a>\u201d program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think we can have a really pro-life culture\u2014I don\u2019t think we can end abortion in this country until we have a revitalization of marriage and the family. Marriage is the safest place for a child to be conceived,\u201d DeSanctis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen children are aborted, it\u2019s almost always outside the context of marriage, because when you have a mother and a father committed to each other, they\u2019re far more likely to commit to their children,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion has not only torn apart the bodies of unborn children, but it has also torn apart the politics of our nation, said Anderson. \u201cIt\u2019s pitted men against women, it\u2019s pitted parents against their children, it\u2019s pitted employers against their employees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  Pro-life leader Norvilia Etienne at the Supreme Court in Washington on June 24, 2022. Wade\u2014the seminal 1973 legal precedent that largely legalized abortion in the United States\u2014many corporations announced they would be willing to pay for their employees to travel and obtain out-of-state abortions because they want their employees to get back in the workforce, Anderson said.<\/p>\n<p>He asked rhetorically if companies would be willing to pay for their female employees who choose to give birth.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, a Texas-based insurance company promised to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/pro-life-texas-insurance-company-pledges-to-cover-child-birth-expenses_4576309.html\">cover employees\u2019 expenses<\/a> related to having a child.<\/p>\n<p>Buffer Insurance said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bufferinsurance\/posts\/pfbid02r6dKjdJyZM2J25TvAsxHwSUv7SmnWE4KeViLvQHzHttuHQk4qEqrqJs5BUZCn7wml\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0post on June 27 that it would provide its employees with paid maternity<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the Supreme Court reversed its ruling on Roe v.
